Introduction

Here is my attempt to think globally and act locally. It is my intention to use this platform to educate and inspire folks to take the first steps towards a sustainable future.

I’m determined to do my part in this energy revolution and you are welcome to participate. Pull up a chair, let’s suck out some marrow and leave this place cleaner and healthier than when we arrived. Let’s have people say when we have passed that they are better for knowing us.

It is up to us, after all, to host this revolution. We must remember the Constitution begins with “We the people….. .” It does not begin with “We the politician…” or “We the corporation….” Personally I am not ready to wait for either to tell me when or how. I work better as a human being when I simply do. I’m finished being owned, I’m worn out with it, I want something better for myself, my family, and the world.

I heard a quotation not long ago, actually an ancient Chinese curse: “May you live in interesting times.” This intrigued me, especially in the context of it being a curse to live in interesting times. Certainly we face world changing issues around dwindling energy supplies and rampant overpopulation. I’m optimistic though, if we can change our mindset just a little we can start to mitigate the shocks of the future. If we could just exchange our “should we attitude” for a “can do attitude” we can turn the curse into a blessing.
